Democracy group 'set up' in Hong Kong

An exiled Chinese dissident, Wang Bingzhang, says he has set up branches of his new political party in Hong Kong and Macau, as well as mainland China.

Mr Wang said the organisation, the Chinese Democracy and Justice Party, would apply for official registration in Hong Kong in the next few days.

The BBC Chinese affairs analyst says the response of the Hong Kong authorities will be closely watched, as they have said they will not allow the province to be used as a base for parties wanting to overthrow the Communist leadership in Beijing.
