A dissident jailed for 12 years for leaking a blacklist of exiled mainland
activists is said to be in danger of dying in prison for lack of medical
treatment. (?Chen Mung) was jailed in 1995 for leaking the secret list, which was sent by
Beijing to immigration officials for overseas countries. The US-based
Free China Movement says he has contracted hepatitis B and C, as well as cirrhosis of the liver,
but is being denied treatment at the
Guangdong jail where he is being held. It says Mr Chen's health is extremely
grave and he is constantly in danger.
